Fallujah University Launches Blood Donation Campaign in Cooperation with Fallujah Teaching Hospital
Under the patronage of the respected University President, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, and in the presence of the respected Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Suleiman Barak Al-Jumaili, Fallujah University organized a blood donation campaign in cooperation with Fallujah Teaching Hospital - Blood Bank, on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, in the University Presidency Building.
In a speech before the launch of the campaign, the respected University President, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Suleiman Hamad, stressed the importance of this initiative that reflects the values of giving and the spirit of solidarity, citing the saying of the Holy Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace: "The believer to the believer is like a building, some parts of which strengthen others," while pointing out that donating blood is not just an act of giving, but rather a humanitarian message aimed at supporting those who are most in need of help.
His Excellency also expressed his thanks and appreciation to the management of Fallujah Teaching Hospital for the great support and fruitful cooperation that contributed to the success of the campaign, stressing the need for continued cooperation between educational and health institutions in order to serve the community and achieve common humanitarian goals.
The campaign activities were launched with the wide participation of faculty members and administrative staff who expressed their enthusiasm for donating. The activities included answering many questions about the benefits of donating blood, the frequency of donation, and people eligible to donate.
The campaign aimed to spread the culture of blood donation among students and employees, and raise awareness about the importance of donating as a humanitarian act that contributes to saving the lives of others, and enhances the spirit of solidarity and community cooperation.
